CITY ACCEPTING USED TIRES
The city has announced that collection of tires will go into effect until October 21st. The central drop off point for your tires is at the south side of the maintenance building by the dumpster. The city will not accept tires after the expired date. Any tires needing disposal after the October 21st deadline should refer to this flyer about a one day event through Bridgestone.

ELECTRONIC RECYCLING THE 1ST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH
The city, in collaberation with the town of Normal, has announced that residents can discard their used and/or damaged electronics properly on the 1st Saturday of every month. The residents of Chenoa should send their electronics to the Normal's Public Works Department, 1301 Warriner St., Normal. The department's hours are from 8am-12pm on the 1st Saturday of each month.
There may not be anyone to help you unload your electronics so we recommend you bring someone to help if you have electronics that are too heavy for you to handle.

Effective Immediately: NEW SCHEDULING OF CITY'S REFUSE PICK-UP
Effective immediately, due to circumstances beyond the city's control, refuse pick-up will done on two days depending on the area you live in:
- Everything NORTH of Route 24 will be picked up on Wednesdays.
- Everything SOUTH of Route 24 will be picked up on Thursdays.
The city apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused for the residents.

1st Wednesday of Each Month: Bulk Item Pick-Up
Just a reminder that bulk items chairs, tables, matresses, etc. are picked up on the 1st Wednesday of month. There is a limit of 2 items per household. TVs, computers and other electronic items cannot be picked up by the garbage company. These items can be brought to city hall to be disposed of.

July 1st: Credit Cards not accepted as payment toward water bills
As of July 1st, the city will no longer accept credit cards as payment towards your monthly water bill.
