House Decorating Contest Winners - 2007

The theme for this year's 4th of July celebration was
"Fire Up For the 4th . . . America Rocks" and Chenoa showed that they can rock.

First Place - Alzona Lee

ALZONA LEE - 310 S. Second Ave.

First place goes to Alzona Lee. This is the third year in a row that she has won first place. Along with her family, they showed so much detail in their decorating, from flags, to honoring their family, to a sign that said "America Rocks". What is not shown in the picture, was her standing in the corner of her yard, dressed as the Statue of Liberty, completely in green. Along with the music she provided, the judges were won over. Can't wait to see what this family has in store for next year.

Second Place - Doug and Tammy Oliver

DOUG AND TAMMY OLIVER - 603 N. Fourth Ave.

Second place goes to that cute little soldier standing in Doug and Tammy Oliver's beautifully decorated yard. He is saluting everyone and telling them how proud he is to honor those who have served with him. The judges thought that this was what the 4th stands for. Good job Doug and Tammy.

Third Place - Scott Bee

SCOTT BEE - 418 McClellan St.

Third place goes to Scott Bee. The judges felt that this is a house that any parent would want their children to remember the 4th of July. He has the cute little teddy bears showing their colors, several inflated items that tell us to support our troops, peace, the American Flag, remember our POW's, but most of all, have a happy 4th of July. Thanks Scott.

Chenoa really showed their true colors. We saw more flags than last year, but know that there will be more next year.
